Will my cover be sold to other authors after I purchase it?
Nope! Each cover is unique and exclusive, and the design is only sold ONCE. After that, it will not be sold again.
As the purchaser*, once you have received the final artwork (with title and author name), you will be granted exclusive license to the use of designed cover for your book.
Please note that due to the use of licensed royalty-free stock images, other designers may have similar covers or images in their designs. This is the nature of stock images. (The exact duplication of a design is not allowed due to the finished design being copyright of the artist, and licensed to the purchaser for use as the cover of their book.)
*You must legally be 18 years of age or older to purchase a cover from Bog Wolf Cover Designs. If you are a minor, you will need a legal guardian to act on your behalf when purchasing any services from this site.

What's included in my purchase?
The finalized artwork, as shown in the storefront. Changes include:
- Author Name
- Title*
- Subtitle (if desired)
- Series title (if desired)
- Genre tag (if desired, including "a novel" tags)
*If you would like to keep the "filler" title used for display purposes, you can—however, no guarantees are made that the title is unique or unused (titles cannot be copyrighted, generally speaking). You are welcome to keep the temporary title so long as you agree to and understand the stipulations of using it.

What isn't included?
- Font typeface changes (unless specifically indicated in the product description).
- Font color (unless indicated in the product description).
- Layered files (such as the PSD file).
- Print wraps (these cost extra and are add-ons).
- Social media graphics (additional fee — see the "add ons").
- Audiobook-formatted cover (additional fee — see the "add ons").
- Individual stock images.
- Anything not specifically outlined above in "what's included".

Will the watermark be removed once I purchase a cover?
Of course. The watermark is for display purposes only. Once you have purchased a cover, you will receive the final files without any watermarks, so they will be ready to use on your finished product.

What payment methods do you accept?
Shopify accepts major credit cards, PayPal, and Apple Pay. All payments are handled through the Shopify store system. You do not need a Shop account to purchase products from this store.

How will I receive my cover files?
Once all edits have been finalized and approved, you will receive your final cover images via email, as JPG and/or PDF.

Can I use the cover to promote my book on social media?
Absolutely. So long as the cover is not drastically altered, you are allowed to use the final cover image for promotion. You cannot sell merchandise using the artwork, as that requires additional licenses for the images used in the design.
So, for example, printing free postcards to promote your book is fine; printing tote bags (or any other merchandise intended to sale) for sale with the cover art is not.

What is the turnaround time for getting my book cover?
Please allow up to 48 hours from the initial purchase date for a follow-up email requesting the details of your design (such as author name, title, etc). Don't worry — once you buy the cover, it is removed from inventory and cannot be purchased by anyone else. It's yours.
Once you have supplied all the necessary details for your cover (name, title, etc), please allow 2-4 business days for the finalized cover to be ready. You will receive the finalized cover via email.

What size are the premade book covers?
Unless otherwise specified in the product description, all covers are 6"x9" (1800 x 2700 pixels), and 300dpi. A smaller file size of 72dpi will also be included in the same dimensions for ebook retailers.

I like a cover, but I don't have a title yet — can I still buy it?
Yes! Once you pay for the pre-made design, we can finalize the text/title/author name when you're ready (within reason — after 12 months, there may be a small additional fee for editing files).
If you have a working title, you are welcome to have that used, and no additional fees will be required to change the title PRIOR to the finalization of the cover.

Will you hold a cover for me while I decide if I want it?
No. All covers for sale are offered on a first come, first serve basis.

I just like the artwork — can I purchase it without a title/author name?
No. Due to the licenses of the stock images used, the finalized ebook cover must include a title and author name.
Upon request, we can supply a .PNG file of the title for inclusion in the interior of the book, but the artwork without title or author name will not be supplied.

What if I end up not using/liking/wanting the cover when it's done? Can I get a refund?
No. All sales are final. Please be sure you want the cover before you purchase it.
You also cannot "swap" one premade for another, regardless of price. Every sale is final and will not be refunded.

Will you offer custom covers in the future?
Possibly? If you sign up for the newsletter, any announcements on the roll out of customs will be sent there first. I don't have a timeline right now.

Can I re-sell the cover?
No. By purchasing the pre-made cover, you are agreeing to use it only for your own work and you cannot re-sell, trade, or otherwise transfer the ownership rights of the cover to anyone else.

Do you do "custom pre-mades"?
Not right now.
(A "custom pre-made" is basically when someone sends the designer an idea or suggestion for a cover they would like, and if the designer chooses to utilize part or all of that concept provided, the customer is offered first dibs on the completed pre-made. If they decline, it goes up for public sale. The "idea" is not copyrightable.)

Can I you make additional covers if my book is part of a series?
Potentially. Please query via email before purchasing a book if you would like to discuss additional covers to form a series. The price of each additional cover is dependent on the complexity and design, since these would be custom covers.

What if I buy an e-book cover now, and want to add a wrap (for print) later?
If you would like to purchase a wrap for print books from the ebook cover design, please get in touch. It's more than likely doable, but the price will vary depending on what you want for the wrap (a solid color, for example, will be cheaper than an extension or additional artwork to make a seamless wrap). Use the contact form or simply reply to the sales email chain that has your purchase details. If you are looking for print covers in multiple formats (such as paperback and hardcover), each version would incur an additional fee.

Do you do typography if I already have artwork for a book?
Potentially. Assuming you have the rights to the artwork for the book, you are welcome to query me via email with details on what you're looking for and we can talk.

I bought a set of covers for use in a series, but I don't like how they are currently arranged. Can you change the order?
Absolutely. When you purchase a cover set (two or more bundled covers intended to work as a series), you will be asked if you want title numbers or a series order, and which covers should go in what order. This is all done after purchase and you'll be able to adjust things until the final designs are approved and the files sent to you.

How do I credit you in my book?
Please credit Bog Wolf Cover Designs as the cover artist/designer.
Bog Wolf Cover Designs retains the full rights of the final cover art as the designer (so you can't attribute the design to yourself or another party). We also reserve the right to feature the finished artwork in a portfolio. (Hey, free advertising for your book!)

Can I buy the PSD/layered files from you?
No. Because the designs feature stock images, the licensing for most stock images does not allow for the transfer or sale of those images independent of the final design. Plus, the design itself is the intellectual property of Bog Wolf Cover Designs and is being exclusively licensed as a whole to you, the purchaser, for the use and promotion of your book.

What if I want to change my title or author name after publication? Such as rebranding or adding/removing a co-author or switching to initials or...?
If the changes are requested before the final design is sent to you, that's an easy fix. However, once you have approved and received the final design, there will be an additional fee of $50 USD for any typography changes to the cover. Multiple changes will each incur a charge.
All other terms and conditions remain applicable.

Are there any restrictions with sales because of the use of stock images?
A standard license, which is most commonly used in royalty-free stock images, allows for sales up to 500,000 units. If you surpass that and become incredibly popular (congrats, by the way!) you would need to upgrade to an Enhanced License for each image used, should you wish to keep using the specific cover. Please email me if this happens and we can arrange for the upgrade on licensing.

Do you use AI in your designs?
No, I do not use any generative AI output in the designs. All covers are made with licensed stock images. I do a lot of editing/photobash/painting to enhance the design, so every cover is unique.
